"Gentle Thoughts" Card-VIVA LAS VEGAS STAMPS DT APP

Wow! This was FUN! It's been a while since I got the rubber out and had a blast, I even got ink all over my hand, true joy :o)
Here is the card I created for my Viva Las Vegas (Stamps) Design Team Application.

Click the image to visit their site, or check out their blog for lots of inspiration.

SUPPLIES:
Beige Cardstock, cream mulberry paper, transparency film, ldeckle scissors, foam tape, glue, colored pencils, paintable textured wall paper, bling flourishes (Prima), flat scraping/texturing tool, small scissors, heat/embossing tool.

Mediums: Sakura colored 3d crystal lacquer (metallic blue and blue), Stazon black and green ink, Palette hybrid inkpad Jardin Moss and Burnt Sienna, light blue acrylic paint.

Stamps: Bare Trees (Lasting Impressions w/ Panache), Pine Tree (Art Impressions), Wrought Iron Fence (BCDesigns @ Hearts in Touch.com), Bird Collage & Sentiment (Stampin Up!), Bird (EcoGreen Crafts)

Directions: Cut a square of paintable textured wall paper to size, paint with light blue acrylic paint and let dry. Squeeze random drizzles of blue and pearl blue Crystal Lacquer onto the dried textured surface and spread with a straight edged tool. Let dry.

Stamp the bare trees onto transparency film using brown solvent ink. Stamp three evergreen trees overlapping the bare trees using two green solvent inks. Stamp the wrought iron gate onto transparency film using black solvent ink. Gently heat set. Cut images out to size for the card front.

Stamp the bird collage and bird onto mulberry paper, color with colored pencils and cut out. I used deckled scissors for the bird collage which is also mounted onto cream card stock. The sentiment is stamped onto beige card stock using brown ink and cut out with deckled scissors with inked edges.

P.S. I am NOT a messy stamper! The tree image is artsy fartsy and has random splotches to the left of the tree image.

Attach the layers with a small amount of liquid adhesive that will dry clear. Attach the sentiment with foam tape. Ink the edges of the card front, adhere the card front to the card (beige cardstock) and ink edges.

Attach curls from a bling flourish as shown. Cut the flourish where the sentiment is higher.

Viola! Lots of layers and details, but it really didn't take that long to create!
I hope you enjoyed this card project, don't forget to visit the Viva Las Vegas stamps blog for more exciting creative ideas and techniques.
