"These colors don't run!" Scrapbook page layout
This page celebrates my own patriotism. I have many old photos (mostly bad photos) from days gone by before I started to scrapbook. They all aren't great, but they all have meaning, so I want to use some of them for my scrapbooks. I wanted the stars and Statue of Liberty die cut to be a subtle accents, blending with the background. The stars were made with a Creative Memories punch and then inked with denim distress ink (Ranger ink). I didn't care for the color of the Liberty die cut so I sprayed it with Blue Hawaii Memory Mist (something cool happened here, keep reading). There is a sewn red thread border around the layout, I circled around 3 times. A single red matte for the photo collage. The flag embellishment is a "sweet stitches" by Just Jinger Designs. The wooden flourishes by Kaiser Craft were spray painted white, then arranged in a burst from the photos out.
LOOK WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I SPRAYED THE LIBERTY STATUE!
Thanks for visiting my blog, don't forget to hop through all of them!
The page looks great! The way the statue turned out is just amazing. Thank you for sharing your project and for serving our country!ReplyDelete

Becky, this is beautiful. Of course, when you add swirls, it puts everything over the top! Love it!ReplyDelete
