I love Aveeno lotion and the convenience of the larger bottle with the pump, but it sure does look gaudy. (grins) This cover can be reused on the next bottle too, just unlace the sides, put it over the new bottle and lace again!
I made two sides that are different, so when I move it to another room, it will still go with the decor.
SUPPLIES:
Brown craft paper
Acrylic Paint: Pistachio, Lake, Storm, Zucchini, Pumpkin, Mulch, Sand (EcoGreen Crafts)
Pigment Ink: Chocolate and Clear (VersaCraft, VersaMark)
Dye ink pads: Purple Twilight, Espresso
Embossing Powder: White, Gold (Ranger Ink)
2 shades of green alcohol ink pens: CG4, DG3 (Spectrum Noir)
Scrap of brown cardstock
Mini Brads: Brown, Lavender
Gossamer Stretch Cord: Clear (Cousins) -or fishing line
RUBBER STAMPS:
Cherry Blossoms, Large Flourish (Hero Arts)
Small Flourish (Stampin UP)
Butterfly (EcoGreen Crafts)
Branches (Stampers Anonymous-Tim Holtz Collection)
Pine Tree (Art Impressions)
Fern (The Angel Company)
Instructions: (Side 1)
1. Trace the outline of the bottle onto brown craft paper. Flip the bottle up to allow for a base, then roll down onto the other side of the bottle and trace.
2. Cut out the pattern for the cover, cut 1/4" to 1/2" outside your lines to allow coverage for the sides of the bottle, as desired. Trim the bottom portion close and exact.
3. Paint the first side, blending both blue acrylic paints.
4. Stamp the branches with Chocolate VersaCraft ink. Heat set.
5. Stamp the pine trees with Zucchini acrylic paint. To stamp with acrylic paint, apply a light coat of paint to the stamp with a brush or sponge, don't over load or it will blotch.
6. Stamp more pine trees with a blend of Zucchini and Pistachio paints. Stipple while wet to blend. Let dry.
7. Blend a lighter shade of green with both Zucchini and Pistachio paints, stamp ferns. let dry.
8. Lighten the last batch of blended paint with more Pistachio and stamp the last layer of ferns. let dry.
9. Stamp Cherry Blossoms onto white paper with VersaMark pigment and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
10. Use a dauber or piece of felt to apply Purple Twilight ink to the flowers; darker at the center and blended out.
11. Color the leaf areas with 2 shades of alcohol ink markers, blending. let dry.
12. Cut out the stamped image and adhere it over the fern area, as shown.
Instructions: (Side 2)
1. Using both flourish stamps and VersaMark pigment, stamp the entire background with flourishes. Heat Set.
2. Stamp the Butterfly onto brown cardstock with VersaMark pigment and emboss with gold embossing powder. Trim closely to a rectangle.
3. Add small dabs of Pumpkin acrylic paint throughout the wings.
4. Apply Chocolate VersaCraft pad to paper over the butterfly and wipe away with a paper towel. Heat set.
5. Add more accents with Pumpkin acrylic paint throughout the wings.
6. Mat the brown cardstock onto brown craft paper and ink the edges with Chocolate VersaCraft. Heat set.
7. Adhere the matted butterfly to the flourished background.
8. Using a small brush, add small dots of mulch acrylic paint to accent flourishes on the background.
Assembly:
1. Use a piercing tool to poke holes approximately 1/2" to 3/4" apart on all four sides.
2. Put a mini brad through each hole and fasten.
3. Cut two 36" pieces of Gossamer Stretch Chord.
4. Use a temporary adhesive to hold the sides up to the bottle to make lacing easier, wrap the gossamer around the bottom brads, tighten and criss-cross (just like ice skates!), then wrap around the 2nd brads, etc. until you reach the top.
4. Tie at the top or knot and trim excess.
I hope this project inspires your creativity, keep on stamping!

Autumn Centerpiece with Purple Cows, Inc
Autumn in the air, the Maine foliage is becoming brilliant and the air is cool even under the shine of the sun. Today I've brought the brilliance of fall into my home wit this table centerpiece.
PURPLE COWS SUPPLIES:
13"
Hot and Cold Laminator #3027
OTHER SUPPLIES:
Branches and leaves gathered from outside, faux berry sprigs and glittery curly Qs, small scissors, ribbon, glass container, rocks, and hot glue gun.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Gather branches and leaves.
2. Arrange rocks and branches in the glass container, add the sprig of faux berries and glitter curls.
3. Place leaves inside (2) 12" x 12" laminating sheets and laminate.
4. Cut out the laminated leaves, leaving approximately 1/8" to 1/4" around the edges.
5. Hot glue the leaves to the branches using one small dab of glue near the base of the stem.
6. Use the Pin It! #7000 to attach 2 copper leaves from the Pin It! Pin Set-Laurel Leaf #7008 to the ribbon and tie the ribbon into a bow around the glass container.
*NOTES:
1. I did not dry and press the leaves before laminating them.
2.
I used to think laminating was expensive, but looking at the Purple Cows
website to create the links for this post, I saw the generous amount of laminating
sheets in each pack with such a reasonable price, I am thrilled! I'll
be laminating much more :o)
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog, please visit the Purple Cows, Inc BLOG for more great project ideas and watch some MOO TUBE to view tutorials and see how easy it is to create with their tools.
Craft on!

Home Decor with Purple Cows
Today I've created a vibrant piece of wall art using minimal supplies and fabulous tools.
PURPLE COWS TOOLS:
Punch It! Autumn and Smart Trimmer #1060

Other Materials:
One 8x8 wrapped canvas
two 6x12 wrapped canvas
three 6x6 wrapped canvas
Pistachio acrylic paint
Purple Card Stock
Fabric flowers
Large rhinestone brads
Variegated green eyelash fibers
Purple Ribbon
Bling brackets
1/4 Balsa wood square 4x6
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Paint all sides and fronts of canvas pieces with acrylic paint.
2. Punch 12" side of paper with the Punch It! Autumn then cut the strip off at approximately 1" wide. (Look at the spacing on the punched edge and center before trimming so it will be even.)
3. Cut 4 strips as described in Step 2 and then cut 8 narrow strips, less than 1/4" using the Smart Trimmer #1060.
3. Adhere the paper elements to the all pieces of the painted canvas, except the center squares. (See finished project for placement)
4. Using a hot glue, affix the 6x6 canvas on top of the 8x8 canvas, centered.
5. Glue the paper elements to the top of the canvas only. The small canvas is 6", trim and use the scraps for the remaining 2" on the top and bottom for the 8" canvas. (see finished project for placement)
6. Wrap ribbon around the 6x6 canvas.
You could stop here and have a very chic piece of wall art. I first wanted to create vertical stripes but then liked the second option too.

If you prefer to embellish more, as I do---continue on.
7. Wrap eyelash fibers around each canvas 3 times and tie in the back.
8. Place flowers and adhere with bling brads EXCEPT FOR THE CENTER CANVAS.
9. The center canvas flowers were too close to the edge, the wood frame was in the way. Therefore, embellish the fabric flower with the bling brad and glue into place. I suggest The Best Glue Ever! because when it dries, it remains tacky and does not leak through your fabric flowers and it does not dry out like similar adhesives.
10. Apply the bling and the two smaller flowers to the 6x6 center canvas as shown.
ASSEMBLE:
11. Using hot glue, apply glue to the edges of the canvas' that will be touching and adhere.
12. Use small pieces of balsa wood (4x6 and 3x7) 1/4" thick and hot glue to stabilize on the back of the project where the canvas pieces come together.
13. Using hot glue, adhere purple ribbon around all outside edges.
Thank you so much for stopping in today! As always if you have any questions or comments, they're welcome anytime.
Craft On!

(click for a larger image) My cat jumped up to the work table! see the nice paw print in the middle of my project? LOL This was easily removed with Undo adhesive remover and a Q-Tip.

4. When the tray is totally covered with Dew Drops and your design is finished, squeeze 3d Crystal Lacquer all over, concentrating on filling in between the Dew Drops. Let dry.
5. Apply Epoxy over the top of your finished design at least 1/4 above the top of the Dew Drops to ensure that your tray surface is level.
